At Hot Goblin, we pride ourselves on producing high-quality 3D printed miniatures using our unique, primer-free resin material. Our special resin eliminates the need for priming, allowing you to jump straight into painting your miniatures. We recommend varnishing your miniatures after painting, especially if you're going to handle them frequently, to protect your hard work. Of course, all our resins can also be primed with any color and brand you prefer.
Goblin Blood Black is our foundational resin, offering an ultra-matte black finish that ensures exceptional paint adhesion. This makes it ideal for painters who prefer starting with a dark base, or those utilizing techniques like zenithal highlighting or slapchop. As our strongest and most flexible resin, Goblin Blood Black is perfect for miniatures that will see a lot of action on the gaming table or in other high-handling situations. Its superior surface grip further enhances the painting experience. While its black color can make unpainted details slightly harder to discern, its robust properties and excellent paintability make it a favorite among active gamers.
Stoneheart Gray is a beautiful, light gray resin that strikes an excellent balance between detail visibility and paintability. While not quite as strong as Goblin Blood Black, it boasts the best unpainted appearance, making details remarkably easy to see. This makes it an excellent choice for those who wish to display their miniatures unpainted. Its light grey hue is also versatile enough to allow for the use of transparent paints, offering a wide range of artistic possibilities. With slightly less grip than our black resin but still perfectly paintable without a primer, Stoneheart Gray is a fantastic all-around resin suitable for most painting techniques and and display preferences.
Moonfrost White is a specialty resin designed for those seeking a bright, pure white canvas. Its pristine white color truly brings out the vibrancy of transparent paints, making it a unique choice for specific artistic visions. Similar to Stoneheart Gray, it offers slightly less strength and surface grip compared to Goblin Blood Black, but retains our signature primer-free paintability. We recommend Moonfrost White for painters who specifically desire a white base for their projects. While its bright white color can make unpainted details the most challenging to discern, its unique properties open up new avenues for creative expression, particularly with washes and transparent layers.
